Borage Flower Ice Cubes

Flowers are a great way to spruce up your drink, and for this little diy project we used something special from the garden. Also known as cucumber weed, borage has beautiful little blue flowers that lend themselves extremely well to making beautiful floral ice cubes. And they’re not just decorative! They also infuse your water (or gin & tonic!) with a refreshing cucumber-like flavour.

Simply put a flower in each compartment, fill up with water and you’ll be ready to enjoy your borage-infused chilled drink in a few hours!

      1. You can probably use the leaves and stems for salads, but they’re very, ehm, hairy, so probably not the greatest mouthfeel :P. So awesome that you have a place to grow your own veggies and herbs. Makes me wish I had a garden of my own!

      2. I know what you mean about the hairy! Radish greens are soo tasty and plentiful but prickly! Not enjoyable to eat at all haha but luckily my pet rabbit doesn’t mind. I live pretty downtown in a large city, so I don’t have nearly as much room as I’d like but enough for now ^_^
