This Christmas, my boyfriend and I made little marzipan presents for our family. Sculpting with marzipan is so much fun: it’s a great material to work with and the fact that you can eat your own creations afterwards makes it even better!
My boyfriend made the soap bar, the piano keys, the snowman and the baby (look at its happy little face!) and I sculpted the aubergine, the apple, the roses, the grapefruit and the smoked salmon & cream cheese bagel.
For 16 little figures, we used a 1 kg slab of soft plain high quality (1:3) marzipan, some food colouring and a fine brush.
